Challan Generation
Overview
The Challan Generation System is designed to streamline the collection of penalties and fines for different types of offences and violations within Urban Local Bodies (ULBs). The system enables ULB officials to manage offences, configure challan workflows and applicable penalty rules, generate challans with supporting evidence, and monitor payments. Citizens can receive challans through SMS notifications, view the challan details, and make payments online.
The system also provides a mechanism for handling unpaid challans. If a payment is not made within the stipulated period, the challan can be escalated by the ULB official to the court, where the payment can be collected or the challan can be cancelled with the appropriate reason and supporting evidence.
